By shared core, I was actually referring to the xterm[1][2] module that both use for cross-platform shell integration…

I’m familiar with the LSW, unfortunately interacting between GUI desktop applications (namely VS Code) and then trying to run linux binaries against that (including debugging/building etc) it gets a bit wonky to say the least. The LSW filesystem is also interestingly separated from the host OS’s filesystem in terms of some integration pieces that gets wonky as well.

There’s also no initd/systemd support for services. Docker for windows is painful to use/integrate with LSW as well… It may get there eventually, but doesn’t work well enough for me. The msys bash actually has better windows integration than the LSW bash does.
