Personally, I also don't think that Node is going anywhere, but I do like a lot of the approach Deno has taken in terms of development and progress. I'm hoping the npm compatibility gets to a good point, though wouldn't mind seeing more deno first libraries start showing up.

I'm a bit irked by some of the jabs against Deno for being a company... it's worth noting that Node started under a company itself... it's been years since they became an open governance model, but I remember the growing pains early on and the iojs side-trek.

There's definitely room for both... Bun is also interresting, but not sure how much runway it really has even if it performs better.
