TLDR; "Hey, use Linux and shell scripting, it's Moar Better!"

The tone of the advice feels very elitist to say the least. Windows + WSL offers pretty much the same experience, with support for applications and other tools that aren't even available and have pale, not even close, equivalents on Linux... and the same applies on MacOS, which has the same or at least a very similar shell experience.

It's worth noting that I appreciate Linux, I'm targeting Linux on almost everything I've worked on the past three years, use Docker and WSL2 extensively at work, and have my default terminal in WSL Ubuntu... I use VS Code remoting on Linux/SSH a lot... And I've been considering switching back to Linux permanently (not more dual boot even) on my home Desktop.
